Department Program Directory​


Family Homeless/Prevention Assistance Program (FHPAP): This program provides short term assistance to keep individuals/families housed, or to assist a homeless individual get into housing.

Emergency Food and Shelter Program (FEMA): This program provides assistance to individuals/families in a crisis to prevent homelessness. There is also funding for Covid-affected families.

Transitional Housing (THP): This program provides assistance for people who have no fixed address to find permanent housing.

Long Term Homeless Program (LTH): This is a supportive program to the transitional housing program, but to qualify, the individual/family would have to be considered “long term homeless”.

Food Support Outreach (SNAP): Although this program is through the county, we have SNAP specialists here to assist with questions and applications, as well as provide outreach support. Please visit this website to apply: Landing Page (mn.gov)

Teen Journey: This is a 16 week referral based syllabus to intervene student behavioral issues including truancy and/or drug/alcohol use. We are currently accepting referrals through Roseau County probation offices and Roseau County Social Services.

Youth Homeless Demonstration Grant (YHDP): This program assists homeless youth ages 18 through 24 with obtaining housing, along with many other incentives.
